Registered Behavior Technician Farmington Hills, MI 48334 $23

  • Full-time The ideal candidate would support a school aged child in a general education setting. The child needs support with communication and social skills while working together with the classroom teachers. Ability to regularly commute to Waterford, Southfield, and/or Farmington Hills. Starting pay $23
  • $26 per hour Hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:30pm or Monday-Friday 8:45am-4:30pm Generous PTO (Vacation and sick time) , holiday bonuses , biannual raises, paid lunch breaks, full insurance benefits , great work/life balance, no evenings, no weekends, team building activities, and lots of opportunities for growth!
Must be:
Passionate about your work with children with special needs. Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with others. Able to create and generate new ideas to help facilitate client growth. Open to feedback and growth. Able to communicate effectively with others.
Minimum Qualifications:
BA or BS in psychology, education, or a related field. Experience working with children and/or individuals diagnosed with disabilities. Significant experience managing difficult behaviors. Valid driver's license. Clean background check. Flexibility. Motivated. Eager to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a school setting ABA or special education coursework Educated or assisted with elementary
  • high school aged clients Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide educational support to client at school.
Use Natural Environment Teaching (NET) principles to work with a child in the mainstream classroom. The ideal candidate has a global perspective on ABA being able to apply and adapt relevant principles in concert with the BCBA-D's recommendations. Work collaboratively with direct supervisor, family, school, and other therapists and caretakers. Use company iPad to collect data on software. Compose daily session notes. Pay dependent on experience and credentials.
