POSITION SUMMARY
The Registered Behavior Technician provides direct behavioral intervention services to students receiving Tier 1 supports under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This position implements individualized behavior intervention plans and supports students in achieving their educational and behavioral goals within the school setting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implement behavior intervention plans and teaching procedures as designed by supervising BCBA
  • Collect accurate behavioral and academic data on student progress and program effectiveness
  • Provide direct one-on-one and small group instruction using evidence-based behavioral strategies
  • Assist students with daily living skills, social interactions, and academic tasks
  • Maintain detailed documentation of student behaviors, interventions, and outcomes
  • Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success
  • Follow all safety protocols and crisis intervention procedures as trained
  • Participate in regular supervision meetings and professional development activities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current RBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) by December 31, 2026
  • Completion of 40-hour RBT training program
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and adolescents with disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to implement behavioral interventions with fidelity
  • Physical ability to assist students with mobility and daily living activities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's degree in education, psychology, or related field
  • Previous experience working with students with autism spectrum disorders or developmental disabilities
  • Experience in educational or therapeutic settings
  • Bilingual abilities
  • Training in crisis intervention techniques
