Your expertise in dental assisting, combined with your knowledge of medical documentation and dental technology, will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their treatment. Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment Assist dentists during procedures such as restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques Take and develop dental X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scans, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed Manage patient records using Eaglesoft while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient confidentiality Monitor vital signs and medical history to support comprehensive patient care, especially for pediatric patients or those with special needs Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, managing suction devices, and ensuring patient comfort throughout procedures Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and updating medical documentation accurately Experience Minimum of 2 years proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with a focus on general dentistry. Hands-on experience with dental assisting procedures including X-ray taking, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Knowledge of Eaglesoft Understanding of anatomy relevant to dentistry and proficiency in operating advanced equipment like 3D scanners and medical imaging devices Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members including dental receptionists, hygienists, and specialists Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to advance their career in a vibrant dental practice that values professionalism, continuous learning, and compassionate patient care.
