Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care and creating a welcoming environment. As an RDA, you will support dentists in providing comprehensive dental treatments, ensuring efficient clinic operations, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your clinical skills while engaging with diverse patient populations, including pediatric dentistry and general dentistry cases. Duties Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Prepare treatment areas with proper aseptic techniques and ensure all dental instruments and materials are ready for use. Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic, maintaining HIPAA compliance at all times. Perform vital signs assessments and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient evaluations. Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow efficiency. Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions while addressing their questions confidently. Qualifications Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure in the applicable state or region. Proven experience in dental assisting within a general dentistry or pediatric dentistry setting. Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic EMR systems; familiarity with medical coding and medical records management is a plus. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members such as dental receptionists and specialists in prosthodontics or endodontics.
