  • Temporary, Part-time Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. It is primarily centered in our flagship location in Lewistown, MT. We also have a satellite office in Malta, MT that we work in 2 days per month. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and maintaining patient comfort. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medical coding as needed. Implement infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling appointments and managing patient records. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience. Qualifications Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with a strong background in general dentistry. Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is highly desirable. Knowledge of dental coding and infection control practices is beneficial. Proficiency in using dental software systems, particularly Eaglesoft. Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and maintaining medical records. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
