05/10/2026 Northern Peaks Dental is looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our family! We are a community focused, comprehensive dental practice focused on prevention and committed to offering the latest technology. This is a fantastic opportunity to take over a full schedule at a busy and growing dental office. Our office utilizes Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) and EMS Airflow technology for prophylaxis and periodontal therapies, and we will provide training and resources to become a certified provider. GBT provides a better patient experience and science backed results. It also drastically decreases the need for hand scaling. In combination with laser therapy utilizing our Fotona (Nd:
YAG and Er:
YAG) laser, you can help offer patients the latest our profession has to offer. Dr. Godbolt is Kois trained in addition to having his Master's through the AGD, and he is committed to offering the latest in dental care. We are a close knit team, looking for a great team player who is reliable, eager to learn, and able to build relationships with patients of all ages in our wonderful Sandpoint community. Responsibilities- Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
- Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontists
- Utilize Guided Biofilm Therapy to remove plaque, stain and tartar from teeth and gums
- Educate and communicate with patients of all ages on proper teeth care and dental conditions
- Take X-rays and digital dental impressions (iTero scanner)
- Be a partner to the dentist in order to ensure appropriate treatments for various diseases
- Maintain accurate documentation and charts for patients
- Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
- Sterilize dental instruments properly
- Monitor and maintain supplies and dental equipment Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g. HIPAA and OSHA)
- Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
- Outstanding communication skills
- Patient and friendly personality
- Dental hygienist license & certificates
- CPR certified
