Duties Perform dental prophylaxis procedures, including cleanings, scaling, and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable Take medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Review medical records and documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental terminology standards Skills Proficiency with dental software systems like Dentrix for scheduling, charting, and documentation management Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Familiarity with medical coding, documentation review, and HIPAA compliance to ensure accurate recordkeeping Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about oral health practices Knowledge of general dentistry procedures including patient assessment, infection control protocols, and medical imaging techniques Join us in creating healthier smiles through dedicated care and professional excellence!
