Job Description

Highlands Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking the ideal candidate to join our staff as our Licensed Dietician. About Highlands Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center Highlands Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center delivers the most advanced rehabilitation and specialty care available with compassion and enthusiasm. Our residents don't live in our facility, we work in their home. Our personal approach to nursing care for the entire family with a focus on routine timely communication is the hallmark of our round-the-clock skilled nursing and therapy services. Your Life as Licensed Dietician You will complete nutritional initial, quarterly, annual and significant change reviews on residents according to federal/state guidelines. Consult with physicians, dialysis dieticians, nurse practitioners to determine diet restrictions/nutritional needs. You will participate/attend care plan conferences and clinical meetings as directed. Monitor monthly/weekly weights to determine residents with major changes. You will assist in coordination of nutrition care services with the CDM. Review the dietary requirements of each resident admitted to the facility and assist in planning the resident's prescribed diet plan. Your approachable demeanor and kind personality will come to great use as many will to come to you with questions or concerns. Your ability to solve problems in a timely manner will help you to find great success in this position. You will have many opportunities to not only supervise and manage, but also to mentor and coach as our Licensed Dietician. Requirements and Qualifications Must be a Licensed Dietician in the State of Pennsylvania. Must demonstrate ability to organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Food Service Department in accordance with state and local standards as well as established facility policies and procedures. Assure that proper food quality and service is provided at all times. Previous experience in food service, preparation and management. Long Term Care experience is helpful.
