Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), where you will play a vital role in managing and maintaining accurate, complete, and secure medical records. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in health information management, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of patient data while supporting clinical and administrative staff. As an RHIT, you will be instrumental in optimizing health information systems, enhancing patient care documentation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will contribute to the seamless operation of our healthcare facility. Responsibilities Organize, review, and maintain comprehensive medical records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality. Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to input, retrieve, and update patient information efficiently. Verify medical documentation for completeness and correctness, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and coding standards. Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate proper documentation practices and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to medical records. Assist in coding diagnoses and procedures using standardized medical terminology to support billing and reporting processes. Conduct audits of medical records to ensure adherence to privacy laws, accreditation standards, and organizational policies. Support the transition to new health information systems by providing training and troubleshooting assistance as needed. Requirements Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) from an accredited organization is required.
