Verify medical documentation for completeness and correctness, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and coding standards. Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate proper documentation practices and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to medical records. Assist in coding diagnoses and procedures using standardized medical terminology to support billing and reporting processes. Conduct audits of medical records to ensure adherence to privacy laws, accreditation standards, and organizational policies. Support the transition to new health information systems by providing training and troubleshooting assistance as needed. Requirements Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) from an accredited organization is required.
