Salary:
$41.98- $68.83 Hourly - base salary. The indicated salary does not include a 5% on-site 24/7 facility premium. Schedule Details (Part-Time): This position follows a consistent rotating overnight schedule designed to average 30 hours per week. Overnight shifts Sat, Sun, Mon 10p-8a . This rotation provides predictable scheduling while allowing for extended time off between work weeks. This schedule is ideal for candidates seeking part-time overnight work with a consistent, repeatable pattern rather than a traditional fixed weekly schedule. The Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) is looking for Registered Nurses (Part-Time) to perform activities and interventions that promote health, wellness, and safety for residents and staff at Green Hill School, a Juvenile Rehabilitation maximum security residential facility. The Opportunity (Part-time): We need your nursing skills to take charge of emergency medical situations and act as a liaison between the community and residents providing professional nursing services for youth committed by the courts to a secure juvenile rehabilitation institution. As an important member of the Health Center Team, you will treat residents according to physician orders, and encourage resident accountability using the integrated treatment plan. Some of what you'll do: Provide professional nursing services including, but not limited to direct patient care such as assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, and interventions relating to medical and/or psychiatric conditions. Perform initial medical screening for youth at intake; implement infection control, Vaccine for Children VFC, and employee health and wellness programs. Educate and counsel youth, families, and staff regarding medical and mental health care. Provide medical case management for youth with chronic or acute conditions; communicate with and instruct non-medical agency staff on treatment and care of youth. Prepare and file medical documents; schedule appointments; perform basic data entry and retrieval functions using an electronic management information system. Recognize and report risk indicators by residents such as self-harm threats, medication refusal or misuse. Administer prescribed medications per the physician's treatment orders. Provide first aid and first response emergency medical services for youth, visitors, and other employees. Who should apply? Graduates from an accredited school of nursing who possess an unencumbered Registered Nurse License to practice in the State of Washington. AND one year of professional Registered Nurse Experience OR Equivalent combination of education and experience totally 3 years. AND The ability to take action to learn and grow. The ability to take action to meet the needs of others. In addition to the requirements above, our ideal candidate will have some or all of the following: Adolescent development and juvenile rehabilitation practices. Relating to clients from diverse backgrounds and cultural groups. Previous work experience working in a Juvenile Rehabilitation Facility.
