Position Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care while assuming a leadership role in the day-to-day coordination of nursing activities on the unit. This role supports safe, effective care delivery while upholding professional nursing standards and compliance with federal and state regulations. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care within the scope of the RN license Serve as Charge Nurse as assigned, providing oversight and support to nursing and ancillary staff Coordinate and supervise patient care activities during assigned shifts Support unit operations in the absence of the Nurse Manager and communicate patient care concerns as needed Perform timely and accurate patient assessments and address patient needs promptly Complete all admission and daily nursing documentation thoroughly, accurately, and on time Ensure all charting is signed, dated, and compliant with facility protocols Participate in performance improvement activities, including assigned chart monitoring Communicate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary treatment team members regarding patient care Adhere to Human Resources policies, including attendance and professional conduct standards Follow Infection Control and Employee Health guidelines to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff Admissions & Collaboration Partner with the Service Development Department to facilitate timely admissions Maintain knowledge of admission criteria and ensure accurate documentation for new admissions Actively participate as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, contributing to patient goals, interventions, and ongoing assessments Why Join Freedom Behavioral?
