Shifts:
Full-time Days, Special Weekend Option Nursing skills gained on this unit: Critical thinking assessment skills Training for hemodynamic monitoring, EKG analysis, stable infusions, high flow oxygen management, and ACLS emergency management Fostering support for patients and families during challenging timesUnit Successes/Designations:
Multiple RNs with PCCN certifications Multiple DAISY, sunshine, and Lasting Impression nominees and 2 winners in 2023 2.5 years CAUTI freeUnit Culture Highlights:
Creates an environment for learning by encouraging questions and growth Fosters an inclusive environment, with compassion for our team and patients, to provide excellence in care Active and involved Professional Governance at a unit and house wide level Qualifications Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.Education:
The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.Exceptions:
Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. Why Join IU Health?
