Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - CVOR Job Type Contract Step into a critical role supporting patients in a Cardiac Operating Room as a CVOR RN, providing exemplary care and leadership across multiple hospital units. This contract position requires adaptability and clinical excellence, with responsibilities spanning direct patient care, team coordination, and support for a diverse surgical environment. You will circulate in the CVOR while being willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
Schedule/Hours:
5x8-hour shifts (40 hours per week) Rotating holidays as needed Every other weekend required
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program Active RN license in Alabama or current Compact RN license (temporary licenses are not accepted); must be verifiable in
NURSYS AHA
BLS and ACLS certifications or corresponding credentials from the Red Cross Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, though applicants with at least 18 months are considered if working under their highest professional license and possessing at least 1 year of recent CVOR experience
Responsibilities:
Circulate in the CVOR, delivering professional, compassionate care to surgical patients Foster positive therapeutic relationships with patients and families Plan, coordinate, and supervise delivery of nursing care in accordance with professional standards Provide clear leadership and delegation to LPNs, PCAs, Ortho Techs, and non-licensed support staff Ensure collaboration and support across interdisciplinary teams Adapt quickly to float between various hospital units, maintaining high standards of practice Those who thrive in dynamic settings and possess a collaborative spirit will excel in this vital role.
