Job Description

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years CVOR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a vital role as a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) care for a leading healthcare provider. This contract opportunity offers hands-on experience working within a dynamic surgical team dedicated to cardiovascular patients. You'll collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical professionals to ensure safe, effective procedures and outstanding patient care throughout the perioperative process.
Schedule/Hours:
Contract position with variable shifts dependent on surgical schedules.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active and unrestricted RN license Minimum of 2 years recent experience in CVOR nursing BLS and ACLS certifications required Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures Experience circulating and scrubbing in a CVOR setting Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Key Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care before, during, and after cardiovascular surgical procedures Prepare and maintain operating rooms, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterile and ready Serve as a liaison between the surgical team and patient's family Monitor patient status and maintain accurate documentation throughout surgical care Collaborate in developing and implementing individualized care plans Uphold strict infection control and patient safety standards Respond quickly to emergencies and unforeseen surgical needs What's in It for
