Overview:

Utilizes the nursing process to provide specialized care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiovascular procedures. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients across pre-, intra-, and post-procedure phases. Monitors cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic status, assists physicians during procedures, and responds to emergent cardiac situations. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and coordinates patient care in conjunction with cardiology, procedural teams, and other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy service standards.

Cath lab, ICU, ED, or other critical care experience Consideration given to candidates with strong acute care experience and willingness to train

Certifications:

Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required for Cath Lab role or completion within department timeframe One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe: Why Mercy?
