Medical-Surgical Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care for Labor & Delivery patients in a rural critical access hospital while also supporting Medical-Surgical patients during low OB census. This role requires flexibility to work across departments including OB, Med Surg, and ED as needed.
Requirements:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required Previous Labor & Delivery experience required Current ACLS certification required Current NRP certification required Willingness to assist with Med Surg patients when OB census is low Strong clinical judgment and adaptability in rural hospital setting Ability to work in a cross-functional nursing environment
Responsibilities:
Provide direct care for laboring, delivery, and postpartum patients Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery Assist with medication administration and treatment planning Support Med Surg patients during low OB census periods Collaborate with OB, Med Surg, and Emergency Department teams Respond to obstetric and medical emergencies as needed Maintain accurate patient documentation in EMR systems Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a rural healthcare setting For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
