Job Description

Registered Nurse, NICU
  • PRN, Nights Registered Nurse, NICU Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Allen, 1105 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas, 75013 Work hours: PRN, 7:00pm
  • 7:00am; 6 shifts per 6 week schedule required NICU Department highlights:
  • Level II NICU/Level II Maternal Designation
  • 8 LDRPs, 5 Antepartum Rooms, 2 Operating Rooms
  • 40•45 deliveries per month • Small team focused on BIG teamwork!
Here's What You Need
  • Diploma in Nursing required or
  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program
  • BSN preferred
  • RN•Registered Nurse upon hire required • One year of NICU experience strongly preferred • BCLS•Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and • NRP•Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required and • CPI•Crisis Prevention Intervention maintained annually and required within 90 days and • NRPA•Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required What You Will Do • Assesses the patient • Plans the care of the patient • Intervenes as appropriate • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
