Registered Nurse (PRN)

Summary of Position:

To ensure quality and safe delivery of skilled nursing in accordance with Licensed Home Health regulations. II.

Qualifications:

1. Graduate of accredited school of nursing for Registered Nurses 2. State of Texas licensure for R.N. in good standing 3. At least one year experience 4. Supervisory experience 5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required 6. Excellent organizational and leadership skills required III.

Physical Requirements:

1. Visual and hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written and verbal communication 2. Ability to perform task involving physical activity which may include heavy lifting, extensive bending and standing 3. Ability to deal effectively with stress IV.

Performance Requirements and Standards:

1. The Registered Nurse ensures safe and quality delivery of services by: A. Assessing clients for admission to homecare after referral is made from physician. B. To conduct assessments for post-hospitalization and reporting any changes in health status of the client to the physician and other homecare staff members. C. Re-evaluating client homecare needs and notifying physician of needs. D. Coordinate with other healthcare professional in provision of care of client. E. Compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulation F. Compliance with the State of Texas Board of Nurse Examiners rules and regulations. G. Following hand washing and infection control techniques. H. Following Touch of CLASS policies and procedures. I. Be available during normal operational hours. 2. The Registered Nurse performs additional assigned performance, responsibilities and standards as necessary and in a timely manner. 3. The Registered Nurse performs effective verbal and written communication by: Communicating changes in client health status in a timely manner to Physician and the appropriate homecare staff members. 4. The registered nurse ensures safe and quality care through continuing education by: A. Assessing own needs for education B. Maintaining professional licensure by meeting the requirements for C.E.U.'s

Pay:

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
