Registered Nurse (RN)

Job description GenTech Associates is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to residents in the facility. The RN will be responsible for assessing resident health concerns, administering medications, coordinating treatments, and ensuring compliance with facility policies and resident rights. This position requires a strong clinical background, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient advocacy.

Facial piercings and cell phone usage are not permitted on any living area or during orientation. They will be dismissed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire. 2. Must hold unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse. 3. One year of nursing experience, strongly preferred. 4. Must be CPR certified, or able to complete training. 5. Must be able to complete full orientation at time of hire. 6. Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of position including ability to lift and carry 20 lbs., remain alert while on duty, and work 16-hour shifts on occasion.

CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assess resident complaints and determine action, notifying supervisor when necessary. 2. Admit and transfer residents to and from other units or outside sources 3. Administer oral and/or injectable medication and controlled medications in accordance with facility policy, and within their scope of practice as defined by Florida law. 4. Observe for side effects or adverse effects to medication and report to provider for further assessment and treatment. 5. Prepare paperwork as required for consults within facility and outside appointments. 6. Coordinates residents' appointments with unit staff to ensure medications are appropriately timed as need for resident movement to and from the unit. 7. Provide emergency medical/psychiatric treatment within scope of practice as defined by facility and Florida law and notifying supervisor for further assistance. 8. Complete incident reports factually and objectively, within the appropriate time frame as defined by the facility. Why Join Us?
