Required Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State Previous experience working as a nurse in school or pediatric settings preferred Ability to assess and respond to medical issues in a school environment Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with students, staff, and families Comfort in delivering education about health topics and prevention as needed Commitment to confidentiality and upholding the highest standards of ethical practice

Key Role Responsibilities:

Provide daily medical care to students and staff from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Monday through Friday Administer medications, first aid, and care for chronic and acute health conditions Maintain accurate health records and documentation as required by school policies Support health education, emergency response preparedness, and individualized care plans Communicate clearly with parents, educators, and healthcare providers concerning health and safety issues This contract begins from 7/27 and runs through 8/14 for the Extended School Year, with the exciting possibility to continue into the next school year based on placement fit.
