This contract position provides the chance to make a tangible difference in a student's life, working 1:1 with a high-functioning individual who requires ventilator support. With a 30-hour workweek and Wednesdays off, you'll strike the perfect balance between professional commitment and personal time.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Current RN or LPN license in good standing Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or healthcare setting preferred Ventilator care experience required for LPN candidates Confidence providing daily care for a student with paralysis while engaging with a cognitively high-functioning adolescent Strong communication skills to liaise between school staff, family, and medical professionals Willingness and ability to accompany the student on daily bus rides to and from school

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver attentive, compassionate care to one high school student throughout the school day Monitor and manage ventilator needs and other health-related requirements Collaborate with educators, family, and healthcare providers to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment Document daily care and promptly respond to any changes in the student's medical status Support the student's daily activities, both inside and outside the classroom, contributing to their personal growth and school experience
