The Radiologic Technologist (R) works under the supervision of the Director, Associate Director, Manager, Lead Technologist and/or Clinic Manager. The technologist is responsible for performing a variety of procedures requiring independent judgement and knowledgeable performance. The technologist will operate equipment safely producing quality images for diagnostic purposes and maintain equipment and supplies. Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and fellow staff. > Additional Information Help for Additional Information.   • Inputting data, calibrating equipment, answering telephone, speaking clearly, manipulating small items, fine motor skills, knowledge of body mechanics and CPR.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Interpersonal Skills
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with patients, staff, visitors, physicians, etc.
  • Must work well as a team member. Essential Physical Requirements
  • Moving equipment, pushing, pulling, lifting 35 lbs., walking, restraining, standing, and kneeling. Essential Mental Abilities
  • Manipulate numbers, explain procedures, evaluate patient's condition and take immediate action, calculating exposure factors. Essential Sensory Requirements
  • Visual skills to read equipment settings, hear audio signals, reading computer screens. Exposure to Hazards
  • Radiation, body fluids, needle punctures, hazardous materials. Other Skills and Abilities
  • Caregiver must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing appropriate care for patients in all age groups.
