Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Step into a vital opportunity supporting patients as a Registered Respiratory Therapist specializing in neonatal and pediatric respiratory care. This contract position offers exposure to advanced therapies in a respected, high-acuity setting.

Essential Qualifications:
Valid, current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required. Experience providing care within a Level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Demonstrated ability managing the respiratory needs of pediatric cardiac transplant patients. Proven clinical competence in assessment, airway management, ventilator operation, and therapeutic procedures. Strong documentation and communication skills, particularly in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy to neonates and children, including those with complex cardiac conditions and transplant patients. Assess, monitor, and modify ventilator and oxygen therapies based on patient needs and response. Actively participate in emergency response situations, supporting rapid decision making for critically ill infants and children. Collaborate with pediatricians, cardiologists, intensivists, and nursing staff to develop and implement patient-centered care plans. Educate patients and families regarding respiratory procedures, equipment, and at-home care requirements.
