Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Deliver critical care as a key member of the healthcare team, utilizing your expertise as a Respiratory Therapist. This contract position focuses on providing high-quality respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory disorders.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred Demonstrated ability to perform assessments, develop care plans, and execute interventions independently and collaboratively Experience operating respiratory care equipment including ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and associated monitoring devices Strong communication and documentation skills to work effectively with medical staff, patients, and families
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, deliver, and document patient respiratory care in accordance with physician orders Provide therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory procedures including nebulizer treatments, chest physiotherapy, and airway management Monitor and adjust ventilator settings; respond to codes and support airway stabilization Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques and homecare when appropriate Maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatments within regulatory and medical standards Demonstrate initiative in patient safety, infection prevention, and equipment maintenance
