Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in patient care by utilizing your expertise as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT). This contract role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to a healthcare facility committed to providing high-quality care and support for individuals with respiratory needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Valid state licensure to practice as a respiratory therapist Previous experience in acute care or hospital settings preferred Proficiency in airway management, ventilator support, and respiratory treatments Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Administer respiratory therapy procedures such as oxygen therapy, aerosolized medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy Monitor and manage patients on mechanical ventilation and other advanced respiratory equipment Conduct pulmonary function tests to assess lung capacity and efficiency Accurately document patient progress, therapy interventions, and outcomes Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to develop and modify patient care plans Educate patients and their families on respiratory health, equipment usage, and home care instructions Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide rapid respiratory support as needed This contract role offers the chance to work alongside dedicated healthcare professionals in a supportive environment where your specialized knowledge will be highly valued.
