Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract An immediate opening is available for an experienced professional skilled as a Respiratory Therapist and Registered Respiratory Therapist for a contract opportunity. This role involves working flexible night shifts on a rotating schedule and collaborating with a variety of clinical units.
Schedule:
3 shifts per week 12-hour night shifts Rotating schedule
Required Qualifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist certification Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications Previous experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital or similar clinical environment Willingness to float between all units as assigned Ability to work efficiently within a multidisciplinary team Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy services to patients across multiple units, including critical care, emergency, and general medical-surgical settings Execute physician-ordered respiratory care, including ventilator management, airway care, and emergency interventions Monitor patient responses to therapy and promptly report any changes or concerns to the medical team Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatments, and patient progress Ensure that all equipment used is properly maintained and cleaned according to facility standards Educate patients and their families on respiratory treatment plans and home-care recommendations as needed This contract position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting a diverse patient population and utilizing your advanced respiratory care skills.
