Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract This opportunity is designed for healthcare professionals with a passion for respiratory care and patient wellness. Professionals skilled as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist are encouraged to apply and contribute their expertise to a facility that values quality patient outcomes and teamwork.
Qualifications:
Current credentials as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Valid state respiratory care practitioner license and BLS certification (or the ability to obtain) Demonstrated knowledge of respiratory therapy best practices and procedures Experience in acute care or hospital environment strongly preferred Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills Proficiency in operating respiratory care equipment and technology
Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate respiratory needs of patients, developing individualized care plans accordingly Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures such as nebulizer treatments, chest physiotherapy, oxygen therapy, and ventilator management Monitor patients' responses to therapy, documenting outcomes and communicating changes to the care team Educate patients and families about respiratory care techniques and preventive measures Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to ensure integrated and effective patient care Maintain accurate and timely records consistent with regulatory and facility standards Adhere to infection control protocols, safety standards, and ethical practices This contract assignment offers the chance to expand clinical expertise in a dynamic healthcare setting supporting diverse patient populations.
