Primary Purpose:
Responsible for maintaining student records at the campus level. Process student enrollment, transfers, and withdraws for the campus.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records Ability to use personal computer and software to develop or maintain spreadsheets and databases, and do word processing Proficient keyboarding, file maintenance skills, and 10 key skills Basic math skills Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Three years PEIMS experience preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Records, Reports, and Correspondence for Registrar Maintain physical and computerized records including student cumulative folders, progress and failure reports, class rosters, and schedule changes. Process student records, including requesting transcripts and records from other schools, setting up cumulative folder, entering student data into appropriate databases, and student withdrawals. Coordinate grading process, including processing of scan sheets, verification and correction of grades, and printing and distribution of report cards. Process and transmit requests for student information, including student transcripts for colleges and universities. Prepare and distribute University Scholastic League (UIL) eligibility lists. Assist counselors with the enrollment, withdrawals, and transfer of students and process applicable records. Monitor and maintain records of student school day late arrivals and early departures. Records and Reports for PEIMS Collect and enter attendance and PEIMS data into established database and verify accuracy of according to established procedures. Prepare and print reports, including attendance reports, grades, class or personnel rosters, end-of-semester reports, or accounting reports. Maintain physical and computerized records, including student cumulative folders, progress and failure reports, class rosters, grade books, and schedule changes if applicable. Process new student records, including requesting transcripts and records from other schools, setting up cumulative folders, and entering student data into appropriate databases. Assist parents, students, and faculty with questions regarding student attendance. Process and transmit requests for student information and transcripts. Call parents to verify student absences as needed. Report all attendance problems to designated administrator.
