Registration/Scheduling

Our Registration/Scheduling department has an opening for a full time employee working approximately 80 hours per pay period. The Registration/Scheduler is responsible for registering patients, answering incoming phone calls, responds to routine inquiries, serves as a resource person to those seeking information on services provided by hospital/clinics and accurately schedules patient appointments for a variety of departments. Triages phone calls and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate emergent situations and/or cancellations. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular department. Discuss preparations with patient prior to exam. Enters complete and accurate data into the computer system regarding information on the patient, exam and physician. Prior experience in a busy office environment and medical terminology is preferred.
