About Spectra Colors Spectra® Colors Corp was established in 1987, is a leading global supplier for specialty dyes/colorants for a variety of industries and applications. Our state of the art laboratory employs latest technologies and expertise to custom design products to customer specifications. We also offer excellent technical support and guidance in usage and formulations. Our
COLORANTS
are used by manufacturers of Food, Drugs, Inks, HI &I, Wax, Candles, among others. General Summary Spectra Colors Corp. is seeking a Regulatory Specialist who will be responsible for preparing, submitting, and coordinating certificates of analysis, safety data sheets, technical data sheets, surveys and product declarations. This position is also responsible for general record keeping and other quality assurance related duties, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) matters. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Respond to all customer and internal documentation requests which may be required for shipment or sale of the products. Work with the lab to determine information required for COA test parameters. Update and maintain current SOPs and other regulatory files in the company quality manual. Coordinate all external product testing and lab work requests. Work proactively with management to respond to any corrective actions required by audits. Maintain and prepare GHS-compliant SDSs in database, ensuring alignment with applicable EHS standards and regulations. Manage and maintain annual registrations, community right-to-know reporting, and other required submissions, including those under EPA (such as TSCA-related requirements), NJ DEP (including hazardous substance reporting and pollution prevention), and related state/federal programs. Support compliance with international regulations such as
EU REACH
for product registrations, substance evaluations, and restrictions when applicable to exports or EU market access. Complete customer surveys and supplier qualification requests. Interface with business partners for technical specs and regulatory information as needed. Requirements Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient personal computer skills including email, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience in the chemical industry would be a plus.
