Description:

This is a Technical Department position that requires a thorough understanding of relevant CFR, WAC, WSDA, and other regulatory programs, Standard Methods for Water Analysis, and the ability to review, interpret, and manage internal regulatory programs. A familiarity with lab protocol and safety techniques is necessary to support the regulatory programs. The Regulatory Specialist 1 is primarily responsible for assisting in the generation and management of internal technical/regulatory programs, and for assisting in the training thereon, as relevant.

Responsibilities:

• Provides 3-1 task and project list; checks email, voicemail, and order inboxes daily.
• Assists Technical Director in the following duties: Classifying CH2O, Inc. products in accordance with the GHS standard.
• Generating SDS for CH2O, Inc. products.
• Generating labels for CH2O, Inc. products.
• Registering and maintaining EPA products.
• Generating and maintaining internal Labor & Industries safety programs.
• Generating and maintaining internal programs relating to State and Federal waste regulations.
• Performing audits to ensure conformance to internal regulatory programs.
• Properly classifying CH2O, Inc. products for DOT shipping purposes.
• Comply with

ISO 9001

requirements including documentation and recordkeeping.

• Perform quality control analysis for chemical formulations with remediation skills.
• Perform complex and non-routine water and deposit analyses.
• Perform routine maintenance of analytical instrumentation.

Requirements:

• Algebra and college level chemistry skills are required.
• Computer competency.
• Ability to employ investigative research procedures, including report writing and evaluation.
• Detail oriented.
• Able to follow written and verbal directions.
• Able to give written and verbal instructions.
• Able to distinguish color and odor.
• Able to lift 50 pounds on an infrequent basis.
• Must be cleared to wear respirator on a non-routine basis.
