Job Description
Summary Every great life-changing discovery begins the same way—with new knowledge. It can change everything, from a single life to the future of entire communities. That's why academic medicine, and the continuous pursuit of knowledge, is at the center of everything we do at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). The Assistant Director of Development is responsible for qualifying and disqualifying prospective donors, as well as cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding philanthropic gifts ranging from $1,000 to $25,000 in support of research, education, community engagement, and patient care initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, this role plays a key part in acquiring and retaining entry
- and mid-level donors, while strategically advancing them along the major gift pipeline.

Minimum Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree Minimum Required Experience:
1 years of experience in relationship management with externally facing constituents.Preferred Education:
Master's degreePreferred Experience:
2 years; preferably in philanthropy. Internet research, database query and reporting experience. Experience in Development/Advancement setting. Physical Requirements Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously. Work Environment Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment. Sensory Acuity Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects. #LI-NK1 The target salary range for this position is $60,000- $75,400 annually.
