Under the general direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Supervisor I is responsible for managing varying levels of staff, training, and day-to-day business operations in the Administrative Support Unit within the Office of Fiscal Services (OFS) in collaboration with Office of Human Resources (OHR), Enterprise Technology Solutions (ETS), and Office of Business Administrative Services (OBAS), and stakeholders. This position plans, develops, coordinates, and supports administrative activities for the three branches within OFS, including DGS Accounting, Contracted Fiscal Services (CFS) Accounting, and Budgets and Planning Section (B&PS). The Supervisor I will perform all tasks in accordance with DGS and OFS policies, procedures and guidelines, Department of Finance (DOF) Budget Letters, State Controller's Office policies, California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) policies, the State Administrative Manual, and applicable state and federal laws, utilizing the most current policy and process requirements, Finance Audit Memos, DGS Management Memos, Administrative Orders, DOF and Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal) guidance on PeopleSoft and Hyperion, California Government Code, California Code of Regulations, and other applicable statutory mandates. This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment and once per year. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment.
