Rental Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The Rental Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the rental business, including customer service, equipment scheduling, rental coordination, and shop activities. This position serves as the primary contact for customers and assists with equipment transportation, maintenance coordination, and overall operational support to ensure efficient and safe business operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with equipment rental inquiries, availability, pricing, and scheduling.
• Coordinate equipment reservations, deliveries, pickups, and returns.
• Serve as the main point of contact for customer communication and rental coordination.
• Assist customers in selecting the appropriate rental equipment for their needs.
• Maintain accurate rental records, schedules, and customer information.
• Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs for rental equipment.
• Communicate with mechanics, vendors, and customers regarding equipment status and repair timelines.
• Assist with loading, unloading, transporting, and hauling rental equipment as needed.
• Operate company vehicles and trailers in a safe and professional manner.
• Perform basic inspections of equipment before and after rentals to identify damage or maintenance needs.
• Ensure equipment yard and work areas remain organized and safe.
• Follow all company safety policies and applicable DOT regulations.
• Assist with additional operational or administrative duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and scheduling abilities.
• Basic computer skills, including email, scheduling systems, and data entry.
• Knowledge of construction or rental equipment preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL preferred, or willingness and ability to obtain a Class A CDL within a timeframe established by the company.
• Clean driving record
• Ability to maintain professional relationships with customers, vendors, and coworkers.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely secure, load, and unload equipment as needed.
• Ability to operate trucks, trailers, forklifts, and rental equipment when required.

From $30.00 per hour
