Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit The Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research seeks to improve the health of individuals, families, and populations by understanding the problems, issues, and alternatives in the design and delivery of health care services. This is accomplished through an interdisciplinary program of research, consultation, technical assistance, and training that focuses on timely and policy-relevant questions concerning the accessibility, adequacy, organization, cost, and effectiveness of health care services, and the dissemination of this information to policymakers and the general public. Position Summary The Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research seeks to improve the health of individuals, families, and populations by understanding the problems, issues, and alternatives in the design and delivery of health care services. This is accomplished through an interdisciplinary program of research, consultation, technical assistance, and training that focuses on timely and policy-relevant questions concerning the accessibility, adequacy, organization, cost, and effectiveness of health care services, and the dissemination of this information to policymakers and the general public. The ShepsGME Technical Assistance Center at the Cecil G. Sheps Center is seeking a Project Manager to serve as a key member of our dynamic team. The Project Manager will work across state and federally funded technical assistance centers and projects supporting the development of new medical and dental training programs in underserved communities to expand the health workforce.Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Coordinate and manage tasks to ensure the successful implementation of the TA center's grant objectives. Monitor progress and timelines, ensuring deliverables are met within scope, budget, and deadlines. Maintain detailed project documentation, including work plans, reports, and meeting minutes.Programmatic Support:
Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of technical assistance initiatives. Assist in preparing presentations, training materials, and resources to support program objectives.Data and Research Management:
Respond to data and resource requests from funders, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Manage and assist with collecting, compiling, analyzing, and interpreting data to support project goals, reporting requirements, and dissemination. Manage and support research projects and the development of reporting and dissemination products such as reports, articles, and policy briefs.Stakeholder Support:
Manage contracted personnel administrative needs, including vendor and independent contract initiation and renewal and payments. Organize and participate in stakeholder meetings to keep record of conversation and action items. Support relationships with clients, funders, and partners to facilitate clear communication and collaboration. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. May require terminal degree and licensure. Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree (or foreign degree equivalent) or relevant Bachelor's degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience. Excellent organizational skills; proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a dynamic environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data management and reporting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Familiarity with grant-funded programs and federal reporting requirements. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Prefer candidates whose work aligns with our departmental mission as outlined on our website. Knowledge of best practices in program evaluation. Experience working in support of graduate medical education and/or health workforce development.
