• PRN Mercy Ridge is looking to hire a Resident Assistant on an as needed (PRN) basis in our Assisted Living Department.

This position is a non-exempt position and does require a Geriatric Nursing License (GNA). Under the direct supervision of the Resident Care Manager and/or Administrator of Assisted Living, the incumbent is responsible for providing care to residents to enhance the lives of each resident in the Assisted Living environment.

Essential Functions:

Performs direct and indirect care to resident to include activities such as: Bathing, feeding, toileting, performing grooming activities, oral hygiene, cleaning all body areas as needed and denture care Measuring intake and output of urine Monitors and assists as appropriate in dining room during meal times Ensures that the residents laundry is clean and maintained Light housekeeping duties in residents rooms Transferring residents from bed, chair and wheelchair Positioning residents in chairs, beds, wheelchairs, turning and changing position of residents, and lifting resident Performing active range of motion with the Residents Making occupied and unoccupied beds Weighing residents, taking vital signs Practicing universal precautions Documents care in electronic medical record PRN (as needed)
