You will work closely with the dietary department to ensure residents receive nourishing meals that meet their dietary needs while fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere. Responsibilities Assist with food production, meal preparation, and plating to ensure timely and appealing service for residents Serve meals with friendliness and professionalism, ensuring each resident's dietary preferences and restrictions are respected Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen and dining spaces Support dietary staff with food handling, bussing tables, cleaning kitchen equipment, and sanitizing surfaces regularly Help monitor resident dietary needs, report any concerns or special requests to the dietary supervisor Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold health regulations and prevent contamination or spoilage Contribute to a positive dining experience by demonstrating excellent customer service skills and fostering a welcoming environment Experience Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred Food service experience including food preparation, cooking, serving, and sanitation practices is advantageous Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities such as meal assembly, portion control, and food handling regulations is beneficial Strong time management skills to efficiently coordinate meal times and maintain workflow during busy periods Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and kitchen equipment operation is essential Experience working with diverse populations in healthcare or senior living settings enhances your ability to meet residents' unique needs Join us in making a meaningful difference through nourishing meals and compassionate service!
