Job Description
Overview Join our compassionate team as a Resident Care Aide, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents in our assisted living community. This vital role involves providing personalized support to seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. As a Resident Care Aide, you will work closely with residents to promote independence and dignity while delivering exceptional care in a dynamic and supportive environment. Your energy and enthusiasm will help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all residents. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility needs Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to support health assessments Assist with laundry and cleaning tasks. Document care provided in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality, consistent care Provide companionship, emotional support, and reassurance to residents Follow individualized care plans and ensure residents' dignity, privacy, and preferences are respected Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for residents Assist with recreational activities, social engagement, and community events Skills Previous experience in caregiving, assisted living, or healthcare preferred but not required Knowledge of dementia management and behavior support techniques Ability to perform first aid confidently and respond effectively in emergency situations Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, transferring, and prolonged standing Strong interpersonal skills to connect empathetically with residents of diverse backgrounds, including those with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered mindset Excellent caregiving skills combined with patience, compassion, and a positive attitude Basic cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic living environment for residents What We're Looking For A warm, empathetic personality and genuine desire to help others Reliability and professionalism in all interactions Respect for residents' autonomy, cultural backgrounds, and personal choices Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations Why Join Us Meaningful work that directly improves residents' quality of life Supportive team environment with opportunities for growth Training and development to help you build a rewarding career in care Join us in providing exceptional resident-centered care that enriches lives every day!
