Part-time Description:

The YMCA of Broome County has an exciting opportunity for you to make a meaningful difference as a Resident Support Officer in our Housing Department. As a Resident Support Officer, you will play an important role in ensuring the safety, security and well-being of residents while supporting their success in a clean, sober and respectful community environment. This position also offers valuable training and certification opportunities, including Security 5 Certification, Crisis Prevention and Intervention Certification, and Narcan Certification—equipping you with the tools to protect, support, and make a lasting impact in the lives of others.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety, security and well-being of all residents, visitors, YMCA personnel, the building and premises Conduct regular patrols in assigned areas and take appropriate action to respond to incidents Maintain a visible presence to ensure adherence to YMCA rules and building standards Write detailed reports on incidents or occurrences affecting normal operations Maintain accurate documentation and records for daily program operations Handle all sensitive information confidentially and professionally Foster an environment that supports clean and sober living environment for all program participants Mediate conflicts between residents using de-escalation techniques
Schedule:
Sunday-Monday 4:00pm-12:30am
Salary:
$18.00 per hour
