Position Summary The Resident Wellness Director oversees all aspects of resident health and wellness, including care planning, clinical oversight, regulatory compliance, team development, and quality assurance. Responsibilities include supporting resident wellbeing; training, coaching, and evaluating team members; facilitating care conferences; completing Service Plans; and ensuring compliance with Inspirit Senior Living policies and procedures. This role requires maintaining a strong understanding of Inspirit's philosophy, principles, and standards, using them to guide daily decision-making. The Resident Wellness Director also fosters a positive, professional environment for residents, families, visitors, and team members.

Team members, residents, families, visitors, community agencies, vendors, and referral sources Essential ResponsibilitiesResident Health & Wellness Maintain current Service Plans per company policy and state regulations Complete assessments, attend Service Plan meetings, and monitor 24-hour reports Communicate with families, physicians, and coordinate assessments with Community Relations Conduct initial, wellness, and illness visits; identify ongoing resident needs Review and discuss service level changes (including incontinence and medication fees) Serve as liaison for healthcare providers, pharmacies, and external facilities Ensure continuity of care during transitions Maintain supply inventory and coordinate the Incontinence Program Provide emergency first aid as needed Monitor infections, incidents, and infection control compliance Maintain documentation, confidentiality, and Wellness Files Assist with diet board/book Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) Document all care, services, and changes in real time Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant Record ADLs, medications, vitals, incidents, and condition changes Use approved devices for point-of-care charting Correct errors promptly per policy Training & Team Development Oversee new hire orientation and ensure compliance Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance evaluations Medication Aide Supervision Support medication training and self-administration programs Monitor medication schedules and documentation accuracy Communication & Family Support Support residents and families during care transitions Communicate with hospitals and outside providers Provide family updates (minimum twice weekly for hospitalized residents) Address pharmacy and medication concerns Regulatory Compliance Support state-required training and OSHA compliance Maintain knowledge of state regulations and company policies Quality Assurance Review incident reports and implement corrective action plans Participate in QA, nursing, and performance improvement meetings Review pharmacy reports and physician orders monthly Administrative Responsibilities Complete timely performance reviews Maintain tracking systems for compliance Leadership Expectations Provide daily coaching and support Lead by example with visibility and engagement Facilitate/attend Stand-Up and Cross-Over meetings
Qualifications Education:
Current state license as a
Professional Nurse Experience:
Minimum 2 years in long-term care or healthcare management
Licensure:
Current LPN or RN license
