Job Description

Residential Coordinator Shiloh's Hope is looking for an experienced supervisor to join our team in a Residential Coordinator position at one of our Adult Foster Care Residences, located in Le Center, MN. This position is a full-time 40 hour Monday-Friday supervisory position with on call responsibilities, that is benefit eligible. The following are the expectations of the position:
  • Be a front-running leader in assisting with the operational needs of the organization in a professional manner;
  • Oversee and coordinates all aspects of care, support, and services for each individual living in that residence;
  • Provide supervision and coordination of daily functions within the home;
  • Ensure that supportive medical and psychiatric services are provided to individuals;
  • Comply with all medical and health care policies and procedures;
  • As a Mandated Reporter, report incidents covered under the Vulnerable Adult act and the mandated reporting guidelines;
  • Provide proper documentation and assist in compliance with licensing requirements;
  • Provides on-site supervision of Direct Support Professionals;
  • Participate in the on-call rotation as scheduled.
Knowledge Requirements:
The Residential Coordinator shall have knowledge of mental illness, chemical dependency, and other related conditions. The Residential Coordinator shall be trained initially and will receive additional training to ensure proficiency and/or competency regarding his or her ability to meet the responsibilities of this position, including but not limited to:
  • Basic to advanced technology skills (i.e.: Excel, Microsoft Office, the ability to use search engines for research purposes, internet literacy, use of a cellular phone, e-mail, voicemail, computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, etc.)
  • Licensing requirements and current rule that governs Adult Foster Care
  • Understanding the purpose and methods of implementing all individual programs, and training methods sufficient to ensure that all Direct Support Professionals and other program staff learn and understand the purpose and methods of implementing all individual's programs
  • Basic health and safety principals and requirements sufficient to ensure that the proper care, well-being, and safety needs of the individuals are met
  • Basic understanding of general principles of Human Resources and the

  • To demonstrate the ability to effectively initiate Emergency Use of Manual Restraint as required; to demonstrate the ability to continuously lift, carry, push, pull, bend, twist, turn, kneel, squat, sit, stand, and/or walk
  • To demonstrate the ability to utilize available resources to gain knowledge of medications and their side effects, and signs and symptoms of mental illness
  • To comply with Shiloh's Hope's Drug Free Workplace policy
Qualifications:
  • High school Diploma or equivalent; and a minimum of one year of experience in a similar position and demonstrates competency to fulfill job duties
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable vehicle; provide proof of insurance on a reliable vehicle;
  • Clearance to operate a company vehicle if working at a home requiring a handicap-accessible vehicle; OR access to a personal vehicle which is handicap-accessible
