Duties Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment in residential settings following schematics and HVAC design plans Perform system troubleshooting and repairs using tools such as ohmmeters and refrigeration gauges to ensure optimal operation Connect plumbing components, refrigerant lines, and electrical wiring accurately according to safety standards and technical specifications Conduct routine maintenance on existing HVAC equipment, including cleaning, calibrating, and replacing parts as needed Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to facilitate precise installations and repairs Operate welding equipment and perform minor fabrication tasks when necessary to customize or repair HVAC components Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports of all installations, repairs, and inspections performed in the field Skills Strong construction background with experience in building systems installation Proven service technician experience with HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems or appliance repair Mechanical knowledge encompassing HVAC design principles, schematics reading, plumbing, refrigeration cycles, and boiler operation Field service expertise with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues efficiently Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems and property maintenance practices is a plus Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment confidently Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred Knowledge of HVAC/R safety protocols and adherence to local codes and regulations Join us to bring comfort and innovation into homes while advancing your career in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.
