Job Description

Residential Medication Assistant/Care Aide-Per Diem Batavia, NY 14020 $18.00 - $18.50 an hour - Full-time $18.00 - $18.50 an hour - Full-time Manor House is committed to helping seniors and their families find the care, amenities, and senior living options they need to for an engaging and joyful retirement. This position is responsible for caring for the residents under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or an LPN/LVN or Case Manager/Resident Care Director. Assist with providing and document resident medications. Assisting clients with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, toileting, and grooming Measure and record height and weight, vitals Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and importance of reporting such changes to a supervisor. Contribute to the resident's plan of care. Care for resident's needs set out by supervisor. Provide emotional and social support to residents. Promote and protect resident rights, assist residents to make informed decisions, treat residents with dignity and respect, protect resident's personal belongings, report suspected abuse or neglect, and support independent expression, choice, and decision-making consistent with applicable law and regulation. Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns. Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents. Respect residents' confidentiality. Familiar with emergency equipment and procedures. Understand duties during a fire drill and is familiar with evacuation plans. Attending all required training, in-service, and staff meetings. Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers. Perform other duties as assigned.
Pay:
$18.00 - $18.50 per hour
