In this role, you will be responsible for transforming living spaces by applying paint, coatings, and finishes to residential interiors and exteriors. Your expertise will help enhance the beauty, durability, and value of homes while ensuring high-quality craftsmanship. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of renovation projects, utilizing your skills in painting, carpentry, and surface preparation to deliver outstanding results for our clients. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and patching walls, ceilings, and other surfaces to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply primers, paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools and power tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and caulking guns. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine project scope and specifications for residential painting projects. Perform surface repairs including plastering, drywall repair, stucco application, and restoration work to ensure smooth finishes. Install fixtures such as light switches, trim carpentry components, moldings, and other decorative or functional elements during renovation projects. Execute specialized painting techniques including industrial painting or masonry coating as needed for specific surfaces or environments. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools like hand tools, power tools, scaffolding equipment, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times on construction sites. Skills Proven experience in residential painting with a solid understanding of color theory and surface preparation techniques. Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., scrapers, putty knives), power tools (e.g., drills, sanders), and spray equipment for efficient application of paints and coatings. Knowledge of construction estimating principles to assess project scope and material needs accurately. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to execute projects precisely. Strong background in construction site experience including renovation projects involving plastering, restoration, framing carpentry, masonry, stucco application, and drywall finishing. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating material quantities. Experience with fixture installation such as switches or lighting fixtures; caulking; trim carpentry; masonry; welding; concrete finishing; airless paint spraying; handyman tasks; maintenance work; schematics interpretation; industrial painting; remodeling; renovation projects; plastering; restoration work; scheme reading; framing carpentry; masonry work; concrete finishing; welding skills preferred.
