Residential Program Monitor (ON CALL)

Overview The ON CALL (Respond/cover shifts as needed) Residential Program Monitor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the transitional living home as needed. This position provides direct supervision to residents, maintaining a safe and structured environment, supports life skills development, and engaging directly with residents, enforcing program rules, expectations and assisting with basic daily living. The monitor is responsible for teaching life skills, communicating with professionals and scheduling appointments. This position involves working directly with teenagers who may have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect. The environment requires patience, empathy, professionalism, and strong boundaries. Some physical activity, including de-escalation or crisis intervention, may be necessary. What you'll do Interact and engage directly with teen females, teaching life skills and ensuring the safety and well-being of each resident. Youth Support and Safety Build positive, professional relationships with residents while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Support residents in achieving individualized goals related to independence, employment, and education. Respond to crisis using trauma-informed and de-escalation techniques. Monitor and document behavior, incidents, and progress in accordance with agency and child welfare guidelines. Compliance and Documentation Document case management records, daily progress notes and all reportable incidents. Conduct and report random room searches. Maintain daily housekeeping and cooking/meal preparation. Collaboration and Communication Collaborate with case managers, therapists, and external child welfare professionals. Communicate effectively with team members and residents to ensure consistent implementation of resident plan. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and supervision. Ensure that residents adhere to program schedules, policies, and procedures. Monitor resident activities, attendance, and participation in educational, therapeutic, and vocational programs. Facilitate group meetings or check-ins with residents as needed. Preferred qualifications

Education:

High School diploma, or GED. Minimum 2 years of experience working in residential care, child welfare, or behavioral health settings. Strong communication, and crisis management skills. Ability to maintain composure under pressure and make sound decisions. Must pass a background check, and fingerprint clearance. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
