Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Deliver high-quality care as a skilled Respiratory Therapist working in a fast-paced hospital environment. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you'll use your expertise to support patients with respiratory conditions, focusing on excellent clinical delivery during overnight shifts.
Schedule:
7:00pm - 7:30am Every other weekend required
Qualifications & Experience:
Active credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred Previous experience in acute care or hospital settings strongly desired Comprehensive understanding of respiratory therapy modalities, ventilator management, and emergency response protocols Excellent assessment, communication, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
Administer aerosolized medications, oxygen therapies, and other therapeutic interventions according to physician orders Operate, monitor, and assess ventilator-dependent patients, making appropriate adjustments as indicated Perform and interpret arterial blood gas (ABG) analyses Respond efficiently to Code Blue and Rapid Response calls as part of the critical care team Educate patients and families on disease management and respiratory care techniques Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes Maintain accurate patient records and participate in quality improvement initiatives Enjoy the opportunity to make a direct impact on patient lives while working within a supportive healthcare team.
