Job Description
Role:
The Respiratory Therapist delivers treatments, oxygen therapy, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support for both inpatients and outpatients. Responsibilities include monitoring oxygen and ventilation, performing arterial blood gas tests, assisting with airway management, and educating patients and staff. You'll work closely with physicians and team members to ensure the best patient outcomes in our New Orleans facilities.Requirements:
Associate's Degree required. Current Louisiana License as a Respiratory Therapist. Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care (CRT or RRT). BLS certification. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification (only for trained therapists working in the NICU). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Why Ochsner Health -New Orleans:
