Duties Greet guests warmly with a friendly smile and positive attitude, establishing an inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive Manage reservations and waitlists using Toast POS and Open Table systems, ensuring accurate tracking of guest seating times Escort guests to their tables promptly while providing menus and answering initial questions about the restaurant's offerings Maintain clear communication with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate seating flow and accommodate special requests or VIP guests Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills Monitor dining areas to ensure cleanliness, comfort, and adherence to safety standards throughout service hours Assist with guest feedback collection and address concerns promptly to enhance overall guest satisfaction Experience Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for customer service is essential Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests and team members Familiarity with food service operations, including POS systems such as Toast, is advantageous Experience in hotel or guest services can be a plus, demonstrating a background in hospitality and guest relations Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure Knowledge of restaurant procedures, reservation management, and phone etiquette enhances your effectiveness in this role Embark on a rewarding journey where your welcoming nature makes every guest feel valued.
