Job Description

We are a locally owned company that works in Elkhart Indiana. We are NOT some large corporation that owns a bunch of restaurants and operates out of some large city far from here. The majority of our management team, and all of our ownership team, started out making sandwiches and worked their way up. All of us are familiar with what it takes to run a successful restaurant, have several years of experience, and use those skills and experience to train and support our store managers. You will see us in stores working with you, we are not just names associated with faces you'll never see. We have been successful in integrating management from other QSRs and retail stores into our organization many times. This is an customer service job where we make sandwiches, manage people, and perform simple administrative tasks. No fryers or grease. Read on for a more formal job description.
A SUBWAY
restaurant Manager performs and directs overall restaurant management. Directs staff to ensure that food safety, product preparation, and cleanliness standards are maintained. Maintains standards of restaurant safety and security. Recruits staff and oversees training. Responsible for inventory and money control systems
  • may establish inventory schedules. Responsible for local marketing initiatives
  • may contact prospective customers to promote sales.
Maintains business records. Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Completes and posts the staff work schedules.
  • Recruits, rewards and terminates staff as needed.
  • Communicates changes of food preparations formulas, standards, etc. to staff.
  • Ensures that all local and national health and food safety codes are maintained and company safety and security policy are followed.
  • Maintains business records
  • Supports local and national marketing initiatives.
  • Identifies and contacts prospective customers to promote sales.
  • Plans special events and promotions.
  • Completes University of SUBWAY® courses as directed
