Job Description

As a member of Post Ranch Inn and Sierra Mar, the Hourly Supervisor - Dining Room Operations supports the daily execution of service and operational standards to ensure a seamless and elevated guest experience. This role is focused on floor presence, service coordination, communication, and operational support during daily service periods.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Promote a positive, warm, professional, and refined dining experience for all guests Provide on-floor leadership during all scheduled service periods Assist with guest requests, special accommodations, and service recovery opportunities Support seamless communication between the dining room, kitchen, host team, bar team, and resort departments Ensure dining room ambiance and presentation standards are maintained at all times. During service, this includes: music, lighting and lighting position (indoor & outdoor), fireplace, temperature, table placement and pre-sets, chair placement, detailing the space, bathroom cleanliness, bar cleanliness, service station cleanliness and host stand cleanliness Support in-room dining operations including delivery coordination, pool service, picnic lunches, and early departure breakfasts Monitor table timing, pacing, and service flow to ensure an exceptional guest experience Execute opening and closing procedures according to established SOPs Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining room areas, service stations, host stand, bathrooms, and bar areas Assist service staff during busy service periods to maintain smooth operations Lead by example through professionalism, urgency, hospitality, and teamwork Assist in the communication and planning with guests involving but not limited to: Large groups, third-party amenities, unique guest requests, and guest recoveries. Support the Culinary Director by assuring the service and hospitality standards set forth by the Culinary Director are upheld by each staff member at all times. Work in tandem with the Wine Director and Lead Bartender to provide the service staff with materials, training, and guidance to ensure thorough knowledge of steps of service, product, menus - including but not limited: to food, cocktails, wine, beer, spirits and all related steps of service Monitor staff performance to ensure SOPs and guidelines are being followed, including but not limited to: attendance, sidework, SOPs, demeanor, appearance, professionalism, paperwork, opening/closing procedures. Oversee the submission of maintenance requests and follow-up with the maintenance team to ensure the aesthetic and functionality of the dining room is upheld. Lead pre-service in the absence of the Culinary Director Most importantly, foster a culture of support, encouragement, teamwork, innovation, creativity and professionalism while leading by example with effective communication and ongoing staff development and support.MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Must have a High School diploma, college or secondary education preferred Minimum 2 years of experience in a refined dining or luxury hospitality environment preferred Previous lead server or captain experience strongly preferred Proven ability through work experience in providing elevated guest service Valid Driver's Licence Able to pass a general background and reference screenPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to use repetitive hand and body motions Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time Requires repetitive motions such as grasping, writing, typing, listening, hearing and visual acuity Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis Pay for the Restaurant Supervisor Position is $40/ HourCOMPENSATION, BENEFITS & PERKS
